No warp in power bar for Sentinel

I'm playing PC Mass Effect 1 and I chose warp as my bonus power.  Initially it was fine, but after unlocking a number of other powers warp no longer shows up in the power bar for Shepherd

  • That's left over from the original game.

Sentinel has a bunch of active abilities.  If you have enough active abilities to take up all of the useable slots in the UI, then adding one more causes the earlier one to disappear.  Since it's a UI limitation, I'm not sure that there's much that can be done about it.  If I'm remembering correctly (from a very long time ago), resetting all of the powers gives access to the abilities again, but once you choose enough of them to take up all of the active slots, adding another will return you to the same problem.

I thought it might be something like that, but there are still 2 blank slots in the UI.  I'm guessing those must be reserved slots.

  • I'm having same issue but as an adept with electronics (overload) bonus. Power wheel shows 10 possible abilities which is the amount of abilities I have points into (stasis/barrier/throw/lift/warp/singularity/basic armor/pistols/electronics/spectre[unity]) & my power wheel has 9 with 1 blank (overload missing)

Really disappointing to find out it's a know issue from the original game that wasnt fixed

  • I have just encountered the exact same issue. I unlocked Neural Shock as my last ability, but instead of taking up the 9th slot in the power selection slots, it reshuffled my abilities and removed Warp, replacing it with Neural Shock. This is rather annoying. Now I have to go back to a previous save if I want to keep Warp and refrain from ever unlocking Neural Shock.

I also just noticed that Stasis replaced Overload when I unlocked it for Liara as well. So nice of them not to fix such a glaring gameplay issue leftover from the original game.

Sounds like the same issue as the Liara overload bug.

It is. The game has always behaved this way with certain powers overwriting others when you unlock too many.
