Origin crashing after start

Question

Just got Mass Effect through steam.&nbsp; Origin will not launch.My PC is as follows:Asrock moboRyzen 2700X16GB RAMGTX 1070 8GBDisplay is a 4k LG TV running 3840x2160 (300% scaling)I have tried all the fixes I found online on on the EA site:Setting DPI setting for origin.exe to override systemSetting DPI setting for origin.exe to override system (enhanced)Setting DPI setting for origin.exe to override application (this looks better IE scaled properly but still crashes)Setting system resolution to 1080p (100% scaling)running as administratorclearing the origin cache (appdata and programdata)rebooting after each of the above settings changes.Origin will launch to the login screen, after login it will start to load the UI then crash.&nbsp; This happens when launching from steam or the start menu.Not gonna lie, this really sucks that a major vendor like EA has this level of buginess.

Hey @ShootMeMoar,

I would recommend trying these steps:

https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

Try "the hard way", to make sure all files have been removed, then reinstall Origin.

Hmm, that's odd.

Usually a reinstall does the trick for me if I encounter this issue.

Have you tried running as Administrator as well? Do you have another Windows profile you can log into, and try launching Origin there?

@iluminatethesky Running as admin does not help. Will try another user profile just to see.
I also updated my nvidia drivers and reinstalled The MS redistributable.
Windows Event log shows the crash, and the DLL is for the redistributable so that is why I did that. But, google-fu indicates that the most likely cause is the DPI/scaling issues - but no fixes work ☹️
