Origin Redownloading ME2 DLC

Last time I've used Origin [a couple of days ago] everything works "fine" [as far as you can say it about "Origin"], but about 3 days ago, Origin was automatically updated [despite the fact, I disabled both of the options: "Keep my games up-to-date" + "Keep Origin up-to-date"]

After that I, respectively we all, have to deal with that annoying problem, a mentioned above.

Going thru all the posts, and from what I've experienced this is most likely the problem, as there were no issues before me2 Dlc was added for Origin DL.

Just keep posting ure info and eventually they will come with a fix, atleast EA is responding to this topic 😕mileyhappy:, because they didn't respond to my e-mail from 5 days ago lol.

I have had the same problem with the DLC downloading.  I uninstalled my game, re-installed the digital deluxe version and let it all download.

There are currently 2 dlc's that are stuck on "install":  Incisor weapon and Collector weapons.

Also, once again I can't get ME 2 to run.  It says there is an error.  A post I had saved from last year said the problem was the EACoreServer.exe file was missing.  It says to open a command prompt and

 - go to the where the game is saved (got that)

- go into the software directory (Please explain to me what this is...nothing says "software directory")

• Run the command: EAAccessInstaller.exe /s/dir "E:\Program Files\Mass Effect 2\Binaries", subbing content in quotations ("") with the directory where you have installed the game. This will force the activation tool to install again.

 The above doesn't work (I guess I'm not in the right place).  It keeps telling me the file doesn't exist.  I made sure I have Adobe Air and now I'm really frustrated.

So...additional question:  How can I fix the Origin install problem so I can actually play ME 2 once the DLC is all re-downloaded?

Actually, I don't understand, how can you get an error here, by running ME 2, because ME 2 doesn't requires "Origin" - it can be started via "Origin", but it is not necessary.

So try to launch the game by starting MassEffectLauncher.exe, or maybe even by MassEffect.exe. It is also a "possible way" to avoid DLC redownloading, but I would like to prevent this, so EA - it is not an option [OK, maybe temporary], so you would better fix that :-)

I hope, my advice would help, so as I mentioned above - try to start the game without using Origin, as it was originally developed, and install all the DLCs from BSN by downloading them on your HDD and then install them manually.

Isn't EACoreServer.exe from EADM the client before it was called Origin?, you might have to unistall that + Origin, and redownload Origin to the latest version, and you can run me2 without Origin btw 😕mileyhappy:

Every time I run Origin it forces redownloading of all my Mass Effect 2 DLC. Started a week ago.

Twice now I have waited for it to finish but it still wants to download them.

Any way to stop this behaviour short of uninstalling ME2?

Same thing here, forced download for all ME2 DLC every time I open Origin. Driving me nuts.

Yup stull tries to download everytime i launch origin, i bought the deluxe edition from oriign.
