I already had my credit card information entered while trying to buy something, and I didn't want to use it, but PayPal was grayed out. I clicked "proceed" anyway, then clicked "edit payment info" or whatever and PayPal wasn't grayed out anymore! I'm not sure what the problem was but it's good now, hope this helps!
