[PC] Cannot launch ME:LE

I'm sure loads of topics like this.

I am unable to launch ME:LE from neither Steam nor EA.

I tried making Ea launcher and the other EA app run as admin, and the ME launcher as admin.
Tried the 'safe boot' from EA support didn't launch.

I have read other fix is making a new windows account. Unsure if I want to try that route.

I also installed the EA launcher via steam when I first launched the game. Tried uninstalling, downloading from website, and still prep game cycle.

I have previously launched this game back in origin days, and I did see a post on steam about how that could cause confliction with the new EA launcher. Read delete thing relating to them in registry?

Can provide more info if needed. Win11, everything is uptodate.

The next step would be to try it in a new local Windows Administrator account.

You can delete this account later on without changing your main installation.

Create a new Windows user account  (Administrator) don't use local special characters, use only  Characters from the ASCII table

    • Reboot > Log in to the new user account.
    • Test.

Hello, Im following your guide since I have a smiliar problem with EA App I guess, Im interested in another game (NFS Payback bought from Steam) but Im still following your suggestions as I cant really launch the game. I already purchased NFS Heat before February, but no problems there, played it fully.

After connecting Steam to EA App, I click on "Play" after few seconds a messagge appears "Preparing game" then nothing happens, no error. Just briefly EA tells me that some functions have been disabled since I launch the game from another platform (same happens if I launch from EA App).

While looking at Task Manager, for few seconds NFS process appears and disappears right after.

I tried all basic solutions (uninstall/reinstall game and EA App, tried clear cache, App repair, Updating and all your suggestions since now, but Ill try once again to be sure).

I thank you for trying to help, If there's something more I can try please let me know.

Good news, I successfully launched and played NFS Payback on the 2nd admin account, this means I made some mistake or something is missing from my main account. What to do now?

This means that some data in your main Windows account is corrupted.

The activation of the second Admin account might solved that problem if you are lucky, so test on your main account as well after restarting the PC.

If that isn't the case you have two options:

    1. Move your main account to the second account.
Best way is to copy your user account folders (Documents, Music etcetera.) to the Public folder on your system > Log in to the new account > move the data from the public folder into the user account folders of the new account.
    2. Preform a repair install of the OS.
