bumping for visibility as I didn't post this during prime hours.
Just wondering if I'm maybe missing the option to enable this feature or not? Or if it was simply left out of the new version of the PC Pause/Command Hud?

I'm having the same exact problem. I even got another PC player to replicate the issue on his end for me and yup you cannot use commands in keyboard and mouse tactical pause, really frustrating, I hope if this is not a bug it gets put back in.
Also I did find out that if you use a controller the squad commands do work in tactical pause, just not keyboard and mouse. I don't see alot of people talking about this sadly, but if someone in the EA community team see's this post, PLEASE let us know at least if the ME:LE team are aware or if there is a fix coming ☹️
Changing the combat interface and HUD was one of the main thing and was announced way before release.
Honestly, what stops you from issue orders with Q, E and C just like you do in ME2 and ME3?
For those unaware of how the HUD and tactical menu works in ME there is a tutorial. Also the keys to assign commands are editable (and easy to find) on game options.
In my opinion I think the new HUD looks awesome.

The problem is we cannot use the commands in tactical pause. Having the display I guess is optional. But the commands will not function when you're using keyboard and mouse within tactical pause, only in real time, unless you're using a controller in which can you can go in tactical pause and the squad commands work.
