[PC] Installing Mass Effect 2 with disc instead of online download

@Gnomewookie96 When you are reinstalling the game from disc and it was activated once before, you will find that your code is not accepted anymore as it already has been used. Instead of running setup from the disc, use the DOWNLOAD version in your Origin client.

So to install/Reinstall:

1) Download and install the latest Origin Client from the website. https://www.origin.com/download (if not installed already)
2) Login to your Origin client.
3) Put the game disc in your DVD tray but do not start setup from the disc.
4) Right click on your game in you Origin client and choose "download"

Origin should detect the disc inserted and install from it. Once the game has been installed check for updates by right clicking
the game and choose "check for updates".

@MorningTimeCloud Origin isn't recognizing a disk, it goes straight to download...

@Gnomewookie96 Try and restart your pc. If not make sure origin is up to date or update it to the beta version. Here is how to do it [Click this link here]

Still no luck, This makes no sense, could it be because the product key that i redeemed is somehow for a different ersion of Mass Effect 2 than what is onthe disks?

As long as the key is on your account it doesn't matter the disc you use if it is the same version of the game.

Can you screenshot the version of MA2 that is in your origin library and tell me what the discs say on them?

I am having problems with downloading from disc, it says game is installed but it isnt. What can I do?
