[PC] Steam - Unable to Interact With Items or NPC's

I have brought Effect Legendary Edition on Steam and can not interact with any items or NPCs or disarm the chargers in the first mission. I have tried to save and reload the file I saved. I verified the data integrity on Steam and re-started the game, and it did not work. I have also restarted my PC and then tried the game again, and nothing worked. I checked the key binds, and there is no interaction button listed. 

Any help would be appreciated.
