[PC] Unable to Launch Mass Effect 1

So I'm having trouble with me1 again. I've reinstalled the game, as well as removed the 'mass effect' folder from documents, and still nothing. Any ideas? Anybody?

    Unused index errors should not cause this problem. Still, please repair the game and try again.

    If that don't works lets try something: after you get the "Mass Effect is already running" error, end the EA app task in the task manager.
    Restart the EA App > Test.

    Edit: For the suggestions of @EA_Shepard regarding to test without save games:

    • Make surre Steam and EA app are closed.
    • Go to your "C:\Users\<Your User Name>\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect\Save" folder.
    • Move the "Save" folder to your desktop. (The folder must be gone from the original path!)
    • Disable the internet connection of your PC.
    • Test the game.

EA Desktop returns "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again later."

It does this literally every time I try to launch me1, so I can't run me1 at all.

Note that me2 and me3 both work. it's just me1 that fails.

I am attaching a dxdiag from today for you.

In EA app > Click on the 3 lines in the top left corner > Help > App recovery > Clear cache.

Restart your PC > Test.

    No good, even after clearing cache and restarting, I'm still getting "Failed to launch game."

    What the hey? Will I ever be able to play this game again?

    I just don't know what to do now...

    On a different note, what about the dxdiag told you I should clear the cache? Should be good to know.

      And now me3 refuses to start!

      It demands my product key, then says "an error occurred" when I try to enter the code!

      This seriously bites. If I didn't like the mass effect series so much /i would just stop altogether.

        • Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
        • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
        • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
        • Move the "License" folder to your desktop.
        • Test both games.
