[PC]Have a question about ME2: Genesis with imported save from ME1

I decided to replay ME2 and ME3 before Andromeda. I played through both 2 and 3 couple time without Genesis DLC before with imported character from ME1.

I want to play through ME2 with my ME1 character but with a slightly different choice, but I don't really want to replay ME1 so I get the Genesis DLC.

So I started a new game with imported character from ME1, it gave me the overview of my old character and the major choices I made before the game start. The Genesis comic started before character creation, it went through the choices I made but it didn't give me any option to change them, the comic pretty much just played on its own, until it gave me the choice to choose the human councilor between Anderson and Undina. At that point, I quit out the game because I was a little bit confused.

I also looked up on the internet about save transfer, other then the 6 major choices that Genesis covers, there are also minor choices (such as sparing or killing minor characters, and Garrus paragon/renegade, and Aiding or ignoring Captain Kirrache on Virmire) that still carry over to ME2.

So here is the question: If I go through Genesis with my imported save from ME1, is there a way to change certain major choice? If so, does it override my save with new major choices but also remove my minor choices I made in ME1? Or my minor choices with stay what they were, but with updated major choices? If not, is there other way to only change a certain choice but not touching the rest?

I really like those minor impacts to the game, they add a lot to the story so I'd love to keep choices I made. I know the whole thing is probably very confusing and I probably didn't describe it well. I tried to look up on the internet but I couldn't find anything related to minor choices. If anyone had the same process before, I would like to know how it worked.

For the major choices, no you only can change them if you don't import a ME1 character.

For the minor choices, no you can't change them with "Genesis" at all.

You can however do both with the Gibbed Save editor for ME2.  (Here is a guide for the the general use.)

    For changing ME1 decisions:

    - Import your ME1 character to ME2

    - Play until you can save for the first time > Save the game > Exit the game.

    - Open Gibbed's Save Editior > load the Save game you just created.

    - Go to the "Plot" Tab. > Go to the "ME1 Imported plot table" tab.

    - change the variables as you like, but be sure that you don't choose conflicting settings. (As example, only one, Udina or Anderson can be chosen to be councillor, not both.)

    - go to the "ME1 Plot table" tab > make sure the decisions from the "ME1 Imported plot table" match.

    - make your decisions in the "ME1 Plot table" ( be sure that you don't choose conflicting settings)

    - After you are finished, go to the "Raw" tab > go to "3. Plot" > click on "End Game State"

    - With the little arrow on the right side choose "LivedToFightAgain"

    - Save to the same character folder from where you opened the save-game with Gibbed as "Save_0002.pcsav"

    - Start ME2 > New Game > Import ME2 Character > Import the character you edited with Gibbed > Have fun gaming.
