You can do good damage with many weapons in gold and make them viable you just have to be using the appropriate soldier class such as Turian havoc. I, for example went into a gold with a level 3 havoc IX last night and got over 20k points. My pistol w as great. You just need to be using turbocharge and skilled appropriately in weapon damage - AND use them correctly.
Actually you can do a lot of damage if you play a weapon class as a weapon class, just shoot them in the head and or combine it with turbocharge. A LOT of guns are viable.

My powers work just fine. Gold is doable. I am enjoying it and they are improving it fast - 2 weeks for a not insignificant patch. I will not be participating as this is borderline childish and stinks of misplaced entitlement. It's perfectly playable and, despite the game's size and complexity they pushed an update out that not only fixed known issues but also contained reactionary changes to post-launch fan feedback, along with a promise to keep improving and iterating over time to make the game better.
If you think they're not paying any attention to multiplayer then you are ill-informed, and my guess would be that you have no patience or any understanding or appreciation for what goes in to updating a game of this size and complexity, testing that patch, and jumping through the validation hoops for 3 different platforms, never mind how many hours of complex work people have to put in to make the changes you want to see.
I'll see all the grown-ups with real-world perspective online :D

Nanostronghold, when red bar enemies on bronze have about 800 health (about double on silver), 10-20 damage per shot isn't gonna do anything. I feel as if everyone who says the game is fine really just doesn't play above bronze. Go run a mattock/shotgun only build (only useful shotty is piranha) on gold on Andromeda, then go to ME3 with the same setup, then come tell us how it's good.

HalfthemanMarco, the majority of my Gold runs are using biotics and a pistol and I top the scoreboard, and have managed extractions whilst pulling >10k point players along with me. No I don't only play bronze. Yes I can manage with the game balance the way it is.
Comparing something to ME3 and it being worse doesn't mean its unbalanced. They are different games with different mechanics and different enemies. Besides, we know Bioware are, and will continue to, rebalance the multiplayer. Comparing freshly-released Andromeda with ME3 with a full life-cycle of balance patches isn't a particularly valid comparison anyway.
I ain't the best gamer in the universe, but if I can learn to play around my equipment's strengths and weaknesses then I'm sure you can.

re; MeinChurro - no, you're wrong - the balance is way off and it makes the majority of the weapons, including 90% of the AR's and Shotguns completely irrelevant on gold.
What you're suggesting is that people all play the same class with a specific skill that ramps up damage, accuracy and fire rate which defeats the purpose of having ANY other classes or weapons in the game in the first place.

I have heard a certain anthem going around and I both agree and disagree. Multiplayer in this game is easy, but not at all fun. Enemies take a long time to kill, but it's also hard to die. Guns and powers just do such pitiful damage that things take forever to kill, it's not rewarding. ME3 multiplayer was difficult and rewarding in each respective difficulty per what gear you had. You could kill things quickly, powers had low cooldowns and high damage, and no one complained. Fast forward here where every enemy above bronze is a bullet sponge without perfect weapons and builds. The good old days where I could run my avenger on silver are gone. The majority of the community on the Mass Effect Co-op sub redit are calling for changes, and hopefully they come.

I am not suggesting that weapons aren't weak. I am giving an alternative in the meantime for people who want to play weapon based playstyles. I am literally saying weapons are too weak when I suggest you play a class with massive weapon damage buffs to make them viable. I have complained in other threads about how you are railroaded in playing specific playstyles or characters to be viable. Aside from that a lot of weapons are made viable through massive upgrades to those weapons you just have to be lucky in card packs unfortunately, they should have made low level weapons in silver better as a stepping stone until people do actually get their upgrades. They made them incredibly weak without upgrades on purpose so you have to keep buying packs.
In my opinion the difficulties are actually too easy when you play any of the viable playstyles (melee, sniper, etc.), and I wish it was harder. Waiting for the addition of platinum. Enemies are actually not bullet sponges by the way I can one shot enemies on a havoc in the chest - in gold with a non one shot sniper. I can one shot enemies through shields with a weakpoint shot - in gold. You need to hit enemies in weakpoints. The problem is most weapons are too weak so enemies feel like bullet sponges.
Also on a sidenote: Bronze is incredibly easy I can go in on a level 1 asari adept and just run into groups and combo them with a level 1 weapon and score very high. Bronze is NOT hard. Stop playing like me3 get out of cover move around flank enemies, hit weakpoints. Use your character's abilities they are actually good in bronze especially combos.

Re: Meinchurro - the problem is that Bronze is fine, Silver and Gold are not fine. It's that simple. I dotn agree with this blackout idea but it does need to be fixed.
