There is very little chance that they will change. Certain organizations make sure that characters don't look too good so as not to offend less pretty people.Welcome to the new reality. But it's true the character model looks terrible. In what way the previous model was disturbing ? Red hair color is not allowed in the game ? Questions that will never be answered
Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.
I am sure there are people that find her more attractive now.
Her new look is btw. her old ME3 character model, so what Bioware did is streamlining the appearance across the games, what Bioware didn't do is following a far-reaching conspiracy of Feminist activists. 😉
I am sure there will be mods that can change her look back to the old ME2 character model in a not so distant future.
I'd say both are pretty in their own way, but - and that is the important part imo - the Mass Effect 2 OT Kelly is the 'real' Kelly that most of the fanbase remember and acknowledge.
A lot of people in the unofficial BSN were pretty much disapointed as well.
I do support a switch back to the original Kelly. And she is a redhead, as is also mentioned by Shepard in Mass Effect 3 should (s)he encounter her.

Oohh i doubt they’ll change it, even though it’s a data change with some testing involved.
i’m sure there will be mods, but i don’t play PC.
in any case, i still have the original games to go back to.
Yeah, I prefer the Original character model as well, this is one of the few decision Bioware made for the LE that I don't appreciate.
But it is very very unlikely that they will change a character model after release, there is just to much that could go wrong.
But maybe the hair colour... 😇
Anyway, I am pretty confidant that there will be a mod.

@holger1405"there is just to much that could go wrong."
While i do think they won't change it, which i sadly think they should since no one asked for models to be swapped. I have to disagree that it could break the game. Worst case would be assets not loading in causing a crash, but that's found in early stages of your test pass.
As a stated, it's a data change on tech that's already been validated as working and tested. They just have to re-import the model (if stripped from the build) and make sure facial movement and corresponding data works with it.This is about a day's work, testing included if the testers have the save files in the corresponding games. Afraid we're gonna have to wait for the modders on this one. Not sure what they were thinking with Kelly/Miranda though.
I am afraid it is more complicated than that, not to mention the amount of work they have to put in, in a time bigger problems need to be addressed.
Sometimes code is behaving in unpredictable ways on configurations you did not test on, and that are the majority by far.
So what I am saying is, they will not risk a change on a cosmetic matter that is purely subjective anyway.
Is the LE one on the right? Holy potato face. Is this Elder Scrolls Oblivion??
At least you guys are able to get to that point. I can't even progress through ME1 normally since the stupid 5/17 patch keeps crashing my game every 5-20 mins.
- @ultamisia I don't expect that will happen.
The trilogy uses the 'character models' from 3 across the games.
I can't help thinking theres a technical reason why models could be more easily imported from 3 to 1 and 2, but not from 1 and 2 into 3.
So Kelly looks like she did in ME3, rolled back to 2 for consistency.
