This was promised and should be basics for a game coming out in 2021 at £54 for a 10 years old game
Flawless Screen fix it and EA cannot? Although ME:3 still won't work as the markers gets out of place with Falwless Screen...
This is unacceptable really, one can really tell Bioware is no more and is truly 101% EA and their total lack of respect for their own customers.
Also please stop talking nonsense here with zero understanding of how the engine work, the scenes are not pre-rendered, increasing the screen does absolutely nothing, they do not stretch anything, you are not watching a TV Series it is just a settings in the game engine to show "This" or "That" much of the environment during a cutscene...
This is pure laziness and false advertisement from EA.

You are right about that one, wasn't thinking. 🙂
Flawlesswidescreen already implemented a the fix for the MELE, so everyone that wants can enjoy the Games with Ultra Widescreen cutscenes as well.
Is that ideal? No.
But it works.
I thought you already refunded the game, so why are you still here? 🤔
And its 3 games, plus all the DLCs btw. 😁

Just speaking for myself, but I didn't find the 16:9 too distracting during the conversations. You are focusing on the character you are speaking to, and the background is blurred anyways with depth of focus. I did try the Flawless Widescreen fix and was able to replace the black bars with additional background blur. I ended up not using FW and just living with the 16:9 dialogues.
Ultrawide seems more essential when you are actually moving through the world, as opposed to dialogue.
That's just my personal take, but I do understand folks that don't like pillar-boxing.
