Priority: Eden Prime endless loading screen

I'm running the PC Steam version of Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition without any mods installed. I finished Priority:Palaven and a bunch of side quests and resource/artifact collection, with no issues so far. However, when I try to launch the Priority: Eden Prime mission, after choosing my squad mates and equipment, I get the loading screen with the Kodiak flying through space and the "Loading" icon spinning, and the game gets stuck here. At this point I pretty much need to hard-reset my PC.

I tried going back to a much older save (just after Priority:Palaven), but get the same issue. I've tried verifying the game integrity through Steam and it was fine. DxDiag is attached.

I'd appreciate any help with this, since my searches have turned up nothing useful on this issue.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case.
Try the steam repair one more time:

    If that don't helps:

    • Press the Windows key and "X" at the same time.
    • Choose "command prompt (Administrator)" or "Power shell (Administrator)"
    • At the prompt, copy and paste "chkdsk x: /f /r" (Without the quotes, change x to the drive letter of the drive Mass Effect is installed on.) > ENTER.
    • Choose "Y" at the dialogue if you are promoted to restart the PC > Restart the machine.
    • Here is a guide on how to find the Chkdsk log after you are back in Windows.

  • I just finished all of the Tuchanka missions, and now the Cerberus Figher base and the Citadel fail to load (both Alliance Docks and Dock 42). The game crashes when I try to land on either of them.

  • @holger1405I can't seem to be able to repair it via Origin. When I click the "..." on the game tile in the EA app, the only option it shows is "Manage on Steam".

  • @holger1405Thank you!! Your suggestion worked! After running chkdsk, Steam showed some corrupted files, and it took a few attempts to repair them all. I was able to land on the Citadel and complete the Citadel DLC. I still haven't tried Eden Prime yet, but I hope it would work now.
