It was mainly to show a certain point of view, that I miss our profiles to be used for an Exploring purpose, and not only Combat, that these profiles could explore so much potential embed between Ryder and SAM. And all that potential is resumed by SAM divining the need of scanning things.
True. SAM iss kind of the most important character in the game besides Ryder and has probably more screentime than any other squadmate, so it is actually a huge waste of potential that you cannot really explore your relationship with him in other ways than simple dialogue..... The idea of SAM "taking control" of you by using profiles, so you can see his viewpoint, is brilliant But my guess is that did not really occur to the devs. Not because they are stupid, they are in fact great folks, just because this is out of the box stuff.
