PS3 Save Issues

I'm playing my first playthrough on the newly released ME for PS3 and have just left the Citadel for Argos Rho (first time leaving the Citadel after losing Anderson).  Upon arriving, I scanned the planets finding a distress call from a medical transport.  I then remembered that I hadn't talked with my crew, yet, and exited the Galaxy Map and did just that.  After talking with everyone (finishing with Tali, Liara has not been recovered yet), I saved the game and decided to head for a shower before continuing.

I came back after my shower and started the game from the PS3's menu (I shut it down to stop the play timer).  When I got to the game's menu, I clicked resume.  Upon loading, the background is the blue background you'd see when initially creating your character (dark blue up top, light blue at bottom and a lighter blue line going from left to right in a slight arc) and my Shepard character in a run, in place, in the middle of the screen.  There is no ability to access the start menu, the controller doesn't work, except for the PS button in the middle to quit the game.  Each frame of Shepards movement is stuck where it happened and there's a red directional triangle pointing straight up on her head.

After about 2 minutes of me writing this, Shepard's movement stopped and now she's just frozen on the screen.  PS button still works, but nothing else.  I have tried restarting the game, thinking it might have been a one off issue with the game load, but the exact same thing happened.

Instead of me trying to explain it, I snapped a screenshot with my phone.  Ignore the reflections on the screen.  It can be seen at:

its seems that your save file got buged you problably have to start all over again i recommend to you to turn off the autosave feature and just save the game after you have done a lots of things i use to save the game after one hour of a play time or just save on parts thats have a high probability to loose.

and also i recomend make a bakup up save file on the ps plus cloud or in somewhere safe in case you have any kind of bug.
