Re: Citadel DLC bug

Strange... my original reply doesn't show any text. At any rate, I'm a having a similar issue during the Retake the Normandy mission. Except mine occurs at the end of the cutscene that takes place about midway through the final battle. The cut scene plays normally, then when the game is switching back to combat mode, I can hear the background music, but the screen is black and nothing happens.

Forgot to mention. My vid drivers are up to date and it's not a heat issue as my computer itself is not frozen. I have also had no problems at all with ME 3 till now.

Also, Shift+F1 fails to bring up Origin In Game.

Update: Previously whenever I would get the BkSoD, when I ctrl+alt+del out to Windows desktop, The game had not actually crashed, just hard froze. This time, I got the "Mass Effect(TM) 3 has stopped working" error. I thought I'd post the details in case they help solve this issue.

Update 2: Fixed it.

For anyone having the same issue with the Citadel DLC. Try updating/repair installing the DLC. Origin -> Game Info -> Right click on DLC and click update.  Seems to have done the trick for me.

I tried that. Didn't work

I'm just now getting around to playing through the Citadel DLC and this exact problem has prevented me from finishing. 

I choose my squad (the others complain about not being chosen), check weapons, skills and then goes to loading.... and then before there's even any game play it goes to "Critical mission failure".

I've tried updating the game and repairing the game. I've tried loading from an earlier point. I've tried picking different teammates. Same thing happens everytime I get there.

Just wondering if there's any new thoughts about this??

I'm experiencing the same issue and cannot progress through the game. Has anyone found a viable fix?

Last year, I upgraded to an R9 270X and it corrected this problem. Perhaps it was an FPS issue. Either way, the bug was resolved
