How to leave the planet.
While in the Nomad, hold "T" if you're on PC, "Triangle" if you're on PS4, or "Y" if you're on XB1.That is the "Extract to tempest" button while inside the nomad.
You can do this from almost every planet (except crit missions that you aren't allowed to leave but let you have the nomad)

I just figured that out, was going to try every key.
and got to the letter "t" in the word "qwerty"
and holy **** it worked!
Thank you for your input!
:PHi, thanks for the advice on leaving the planet. I did try pressing the letter "T" and you get the animation indicating that the ship is leaving the planet, however the game immediately freezes and resets back to the planet that I am trying to leave.

Glad this worked but just shows this game was unfinished. Sam tells me every 20 seconds I can scan minerals and the temperature drops. but how to actually get on my ship? no no let you figure that out on your own lol

Holding the T worked for me, thanks for the advice.
Same here. Anyone else having an animation glitch? It's completely game-breaking I can't move forward with the story. I try to leave by pressing T, the Tempest starts to take off and just freezes but the sound still goes like the cut-scene is running normally up to a certain point.
Note: I do have the patch installed. 🤔Me too. I have had this happen twice. It doesn't matter how I try to leave a planet, but when it gets into this mode, the "ship taking off" animation just locks up in mid take-off. I have to kill the game in Task Manager or it just sits around locked. When everything is cleaned up and I re-load the game it still locks up if I try to leave the planet. The last time it happened I only managed to clear up the problem by re-booting my PC. Maybe there is a memory leak or something? Try a fresh boot (assuming it is the PC version that is locking up for you). By the way, this problem is a new one - I have only noticed it for the past couple of days. (Currently manifesting on Elaaden). Maybe some other application is leaving a resource on my PC used up? That seems to be the only solution. though I am not sure what. (Chrome is always finding ways to use more memory, though and I would not put it past them to leave tasks laying around)
I tried f and even mapped a new key and the problem still persited. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
