I have a solution its working, continue your main quest after the tail the kett flag ship quest is finished after it not will crash the game.

Update: I have continued without seeing the bug after reloading my old save. I am still avoiding the quests "Contagion" and "Firefighters", but have successfully completed "Life On The Frontier" without seeing the crash bug. I am now halfway through Elaaden and have completed Drack and Peebee's Loyalty Missions without seeing the bug.
I'll try and complete "Contagion" and "Firefighters" once I wrap everything up on Elaaden and I'll report back whether or not I see the bug pop up again. I still believe the bug has something to do with having too many quests open simultaneously and visiting the Nexus. And I'm hopeful BioWare will sort this out with an upcoming patch.

Again, I tried this and it removed the bug for a little while only to have it reappear after I did some stuff on the Nexus. So it did not work for me, and it also reappeared for another poster ~10 hours later.
This was discussed days ago and on the first page of this post but I will edit my main post to reflect this for anybody new to the thread. It is not a 100% solution to the bug and should not be treated as such. The bug needs to be addressed in a future patch.
