Re: Game-breaking crash entering Nexus Docking Area

Ive only seen one other person mention it in a different thread. Sooo my take is: there's an npc in a black and orange hazmat suit scanning something (or he is supposed to be) on the walk way to the right, farther towards the tempest (if your situation is that you are stuck ON the station and CAN'T LEAVE) BE AWARE you will not see this npc unless you are close enough to him. If your to far away you'll never even see this npc pop up on your screen, however if you get to close this of course results in a crash. I think this buggy npc is the cause of all of our problems NOT the amount or combo of quests you have. I unfortunately dont have the saves available to me to allow me to attempt the WORK AROUND as there is NO SOLUTION to this bug yet. The thread I read said the player was actually able to see the npc start to twitch and figit, eventually the npc turned into a silhouette at which point the players game crashed.

    A tip mentioned earlier worked for me (PC): Alt-tab out of the game and wait until the landing sequence is over (I waited a minute to be sure). The game didnt crash on me that time. I have Win10 and play in fullscreen.

    This won't help people who are stuck ON the nexus though. This glitch works both ways you either get stuck on or you can't get on lol

    I wonder if have tackle all this thing the wrong way.

    I dont know about you guys.

    Maybe its not Sid, Knight, Cotagnion, Dock Captains quest that triggers this.

    Maybe it is that we did Cora loyalty quest before Angarians was on the Nexus, I remember me not go to nexus In between the Angarians species and Cora quest.

    I'd advise against this. It can get you permanently trapped on the Nexus if the bug starts crashing when you try to get through from the other direction.

    I had the bug when the Angarans were on the station so that is not it either.

    Then its just one word then and its start with F.

    Its never simple then. Im glad that I did not start over, and run in to this problem anyway.

    I have the same issue as well, the part of contagion where you meet the sick girl on the docking bay. I tried everything I could think of but every single time no matter what I do I come out of the tram and right when I come to the left corner by the culture center there's a waypoint with nobody on a bench then she appears and the game freezes for a few seconds before crashing to home screen.

    Also on a side note, have noticed huge performance issues on Xbox after longer play times. It's gotten to the point to where I just save and close out the app to not have to deal with it. Large frame rate losses, sound just muting randomly, squad members just teleporting all over the place as well as npcs and enemies either becoming invisible or just gaining the ability to phase into walls and Be able to shoot you but you can't shoot them.

    But I'm still terrified to go to the nexus after I gave up trying to finish contagion, my workaround was come out of the tram and sprint to the right while holding y when close to the tempest. Finally got there haven't been back to nexus since.

    I really don't care much about the graphical issues i actually really enjoy getting lost in the randomness but a bug that completely stops you from playing the game such as this is unacceptable. People paid a good amount for the game whatever version they got and at the very least they should at least be able to play it all the way through

    Edit : also please fix the constant annoying squad member sounds every time you jump up on something, or actually change elevation at all. seriously it takes them like 2-4 attempts to even get to you and they're just grunting like tennis players

    Same problem here. Cant enter Nexus after completing Liams Loyalty mission. ☹️

    I have had also the problem of the game crashing when entering the docks (exactly at the doorframe entering it.)

    The problem "fixed" itself:  after finishing the turian arc quest.

    May working theory is, that the script about those arc visitors (asari and salarians) at the immigration desk is the root cause.

    When finishing the turian arc quest, there are turians at the desk.

    Maybe the script works properly thereafter.

    I only got a cutscene with the Asari ark rescue, when I got Salarians no cutscene no salarians either at the desk.

    Mine did the same thing it "fixed" itself after that quest but just for the first time visiting the nexus after the quest. Left and tried to come back and same problem, freeze and crash after the door to docking bay so it's back again. I just finished the hunting the archon main quest so I am about to try the nexus again I will edit with results I will try going in and if it works I will leave and try to come back since last time that's what failed
