Re: Ilos: Insta kill glitch...

I have a graphics mod implemented into the game. I'm afraid it will either corrupt or replace the existing data or even the DLC. In order to get the DLC I had to follow a guide in the Steam forums. I managed to get them for free since they're not available on the Steam version. I even attempted to assign the game's code into Origin, but it didn't work. I'm glad it didn't, though. I've heard about many new errors nowadays due to the Origin version.

Besides the graphics mod(http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/1/?) I also have some of the .ini files altered in order to allow the Console Commands to work and the textures to work properly with the High-Ultra settings. I'm unsure if this happens to the Origin version, but if the file isn't altered the game will never render the textures to its maximum. It also causes Garrus' face to look weird.

The DLCs are free by now and will work on the Steam version. (I have ME1 on Steam as well.) You can find them here.

A game repair will purge MEUITM.

But it is very likely that MEUITM is responsible for the problems in the first place. You can make a backup of your "bioengine.ini", then delete the original "bioengine.ini" and start the game. (It will create a default "bioengine.ini")

Then look if the problem is gone.

The additional fixes in the "bioengine.ini" are not necessary for MEUITM to funktion, and I imho you can't see much difference whit or without them anyway.

If that don't helps then it is most probably that a problem at the installation of MEUITM caused the issue.

Only to vanilla the game and installing MEUITM again can solve this.
