Re-installing mass effect 3

Recently purchased a new hard drive and want to re-install mass effect 3 onto it, unfortunately every time I try it fails at the point where I swap over discs. When this happens I get an error message "Error code 131079:6 please try again in a few moments", the game then stops installing and proceeds to try and pause the installation, which it never succeeds in doing (despite being left for an hour). At this point it then becomes impossible to get origin to do anything, so have to shut it down through task manager.

Previously the game worked perfectly, I never had any issues. The system setup is identical now as before, all I did was take a mirror of old hard drive and copy it straight across (hope I've got technical term right) I've tried deleting the client then re-installing it, turning on automatic update and turning off cloud storage. Everything I could find in the help sections I have tried but it is having no effect. All other programs such as Steam etc are working absolutely perfectly.

I have raised this issue (several times) with the customer services people via email and all I get back is a standard email which doesn;t actually help at all. I'm getting very annoyed.

Worked it out, the issue is with Origin version 9.0...., had to install origin from disc with intenet connection turned off, once it had loaded turned connection back on and logged on without allowing the client to update itself from version 8.4... to 9.0.... What an absolute waste of time, the two biggest realeses so far of the year battle field 3 and mass effect 3 messed about by EA fidling with origin when it didn't need to be touched.

I tried repairing the installation and then it just worked. Took a while to initialize though...thought its still stuck at first --  SHR0dingersCat 08.17.2012

Thanks for trying to help, unfortunately I have tried all of those solutions mentioned in your links (the final link is exactly the problem I'm having but there is no solution for it). The issue is with Origin vs 9.0, previously with version 8.... I had no difficulties at all, the only issues have come since the upgrade. What I need is a version 8.0 of origin, or I fear I'll not be able to play it.

Thanks once again, but I'll have to keep on looking.
