Re: Mass Effect 2 - Game temperature - is this normal?

A bit unsettling considering notebookcheck benchmarks my GTX660M at 40 fps for Ultra Borderlands 2.

Blame it on the drivers.  Throughout the history of the UT3 game engine's existence, Geforce cards have periodically done quite poorly rendering the games, such as ME-1, 2, & 3.  70 degrees Celcius isn't "high", however, 40 fps is "low" for that card.

  • I've noticed a pattern with my GE60 and every game I play causes GPU to reach 70 degrees but never goes any higher, just played Far Cry 3 x2 MSAA and everything high at 720p and barely touches 75 degrees..

    I do think 40 fps is a bit low, but I am playing 1080p, FXAA, x8 CSAA/Supersampling, x16 anisotropic.

Kind of expected 60 fps for a 2010 game on a relatively new GPU, can only hope the new drivers I'm downloading may have a performance increase.
