Re: Mass Effect 2 DLC authorization

Hello, I have this "little" problem, when I try to connect onto the Cerberus network input my password and such, it types out for me: "Connection with Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or has timed out. Please try again later". Pops up nearly immediately after I've input all my information. Any solution to this? Would love to play it once again.

No problem, but I meant this questions:

Are you on a University or other non private network?

Is you Network connection set to "Private"? (it should be.)

Do you use special characters in your email or your password?

Hello, thank you for the merging, for some reason I could not find this thread. In the meantime I have already fixed it by creating another account and logging into that one, no idea why my old one did not work, will probably need to contact EA about that.

Ok, try to clean your Origin cache.

All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

        - close Origin completely. (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
        - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
        - Type or copy  "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) > hit ENTER
        - Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder. (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
        - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
        - Type or copy "%AppData%" (without quotes)  > hit ENTER
        - Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder
        - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder
        - In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on the word "AppData".
        - Open the "Local" folder
        - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder
        - Restart your PC. > test

    Well if anything else fails:

    • Go here and download the package > unzip.
    • Make sure Origin is closed.
    • Go into the unzipped package to the "masseffect-binkw32-master\masseffect-binkw32-master\ME2\Release" folder.
    • Copy the "binkw23.dll" and the "binkw32.dll" to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries" folder, (overwrite)

    Test.
