Re: Mass Effect 3: Cannot Activate

@BioWhatsup

  • Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
  • Move the "License" folder to your desktop. (It must be gone from the phat above.)
  • Restart the PC > Test.

    Is this a temp solution?

    Yes, moving the Licence folder to the desktop stopped the persistent 'Activation' error.

    Am I now suppossed to leave the folder there permanently?

    Do you know what casued this error to trigger in the first place?

    A corrupt Licence.
    No, you don't need to leave the folder there permanently, they are recreated as soon as you start the specific game, just make sure all your games are working, then you can delete the folder on your desktop.

  • Hello,

    I downloaded the game via EA Games Subscription on Steam. But I am detecting this error. There is a link to my Steam account via the EA platform. The game appears to be EA. The solutions you mentioned did not work for me.
