The Demo severs are down for good.
To play the demo you need to disable your internet connection and set Origin to offline mode. Then the demo will run.

Hey I'm marking Holger's post as the solution, as mentioned the servers are down. Sorry for any confusion caused.
ME3 Servers Down - Unable to Play as DLC will not authorise.
I have Internet
I have cleared cache
I have reset Origin/EA Passwords
I am Online when ME3 starts.
Receive message that the EA servers cannot be contacted

No server's still down must be the longest IT reboot in history. Someone needs fired.
