Re: Mass Effect 3 Won't Launch

IT WORKED!

Alright I wasn't sure how to uninstall the plugin alone so I removed the whole Acer User Experience Improvement Program App as I don't use it anyways.

Cloud-save in Origin was never on so that's taken care of.

I moved the save file as suggested afterwards. (which is something I tried before but never really helped)

The interesting part is that ME3 never appeared in the problem reports but you know what did? User Experience Improvement.

Seems like the main problem was there every time.

For the record, Origin did appear but the date was from 10 May, 2021 (4 days ago).

After that I tried launching the game and it WORKED!

I still can't believe it! Thank you so much! You've made my day.

Let me know if you need anything else from my side.

Back with bad news (and updates).

After playing for a couple of hours earlier today, I'm facing the same issue again.

I tried your earlier suggestion and ran the Reliability Monitor. I found nothing related to ME3 but I found 3 interesting problems.

2 issues related to Origin but they're from 4 days ago.

The 3rd issue is related to Acer Care Center, which I supposedly removed entirely from the Add or Remove Programs settings menu.

It can be found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acer\Care Center

I tried deleting the ACCMonitorPlugin folder but that didn't work.

All 3 reports are attached in a single text file and each is separated with dotted lines.

This game really has it for us it seems.

I hope this helps and thanks again!

I am sorry, your last post slipped my notifications somehow.

Please create a DxDiag respectively a new DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that  with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

I asume you tried the solution again?

    If yes:

    • Hit Windows key and X.
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key and X again.
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command Prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes. >ENTER.
    • Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

Yes I did but nothing changed.

So I ran Checkhealth and Restorehealth but no errors appeared.

Attached the message I got from running sfc/ scannow.

OK, there where some rights problems within Windows.

    • Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall Acer User Experience.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Moderate" > Browse.
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
    • Restart the PC

    Then:

    • look at this guide. to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.
    • Scroll down to "How to uninstall the Origin client the hard way"
    • Follow the instructions to the letter.
    • reboot.
    • Download this version of the "OriginSetup.exe"
    • Run the installer as Administrator (Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as an Administrator)
    • Repair the game.
    • Test.

Sorry for the delay. I live in Lebanon and we've been getting a ton of power outages lately so only now did I get the chance to try this.

I downloaded Revo and opened it up but I can't see Acer User Experience even when I type it into the search bar.

I've attached 3 screenshots that have apps I suspect could be related but you know better.

Capture 1 and 2 are in the same tab "Uninstaller" while Capture 3 is in "Windows Apps".

    I hope this helps.

NP, we are not running away. 😉

You should uninstall "Acer Care Center" and "Arcer Configuration manager"

The "Acer Care Center servce" should be gone after that as well, but check after you restarted the Machine after the uninstallation.

I also would uninstall "acer driver setup utility" and "acer cplection s."

Then go on with the rest in the former post.

    I really appreciate your help!

Unfortunately I did them all and then followed the instructions about reinstalling Origin to the letter but the problem persists.

I repaired it on Origin and it automatically validated on Steam (fixing 1 file apparently).

I tried running it from Origin, from Steam and directly from the Binaries folder and got nothing.

(Origin, Steam and the ME3 app all running as admin)

As usual, Origin only refreshed and it was as if nothing happened.

Such a weird problem. I'd understand anytime you want to call it quits.

    @chillrogue

I am not here to call it quits. 😉

    Try this:

    • Make sure Origin and Steam are closed.
    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
    • Delete the "License" folder.
    • Test.

It took me some time but I updated all my drivers again to be safe.

I tried your suggestion a couple of times but nothing changed ☹️

    Thanks again for your support!

    @chillrogue

Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and alos Afterburner and similar software is disabled.

Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.

Also, the "Save" folder is still empty?
