Re: mass effect andromeda dlc

It will take longer the more that people urge Bioware to add DLC. Multiplayer is one of the smaller things, it may add up to possible inclusions in future DLC.

It usually takes a few months, to a year for a game to add DLC, in Andromeda's case, they'll start (most likely) when most of the bugs are squished in Andromeda. The fact that they're also working on Anthem also points that DLC for Andromeda will take time for developing and releasing it publicly.

I'm perfectly fine with them releasing updates, I don't care what others say about the damned game because it's fine, DLC or not.

Cynder1111 Yeh reckon your right about the dlc release, BioWare be busy with Anthem and patches for Andromeda and multi-player. I'm done with all the negative reviews. Just concentrating on enjoying the game and looking forward to some news down the line. Nuf said

BioWare has four teams spread over three studios. Anthem and MEA are games from two separate studios (Edmonton and Montreal), so development of Anthem shouldn't affect patching.

As for DLCs, that usually goes to whichever studio has the most time. For instance, BioWare Edmonton made Dragon Age Inquisition, but one of the DLCs (The Descent) was made by the studio in Texas.

DLC development started a while ago because Jules de Jongh had already voiced new lines for Cora back in May. I believe BioWare usually starts development on the first DLC right before the base game launches.

Cynder1111 - Do you not reckon us pestering them for dlc is actually a positive thing! I mean if we didn't keep urging them then they wouldn't think theres a demand for it? Least this way there aware that there's demand..... Just a thought tho

I will throw my name in the ring for DLC ๐Ÿ™‚ it is something I would buy

There are a few open story lines that would of certainly been hooks for DLC that I would love to see made.

proxos666 - I'm wondering if that was there initial plan from the off, release several story dlc to finnish off the story? Instead of releasing a sequel, you no cos they said way before its release that Andromeda was not meant 2b a new trilogy of games (although I would well be up for that ๐Ÿ˜‰
It was instead meant to be a stand alone game, so like destiny did with the first game, release some dlc for it over a 2 year period to ty up the story.. Either way, I'd be up for several dlc over a couple years, or a sequel a few years down the line. I'm jus looking forward to playing some more Andromeda whichever way they go with it ๐Ÿ‘it's been a great gaming experience for me and hope we hear something by the new year. But BioWare don't usually announce news until there ready, and with Anthem taking up alot of there resources atm it's gonna be a while before we hear something! And like other people on here have said, mass effect dlc usually comes out at least 6months to a year after its released! I must also say that on my second playthrough there's been zero bugs so far, and I hope thats been the same for other players....... If this game was released 4months later it would of been labeled a gem for sure. To me it is a gem, and to alot of other players it's a gem, and the hate train does seem to have calmed down a bit now! So hope for some dlc/sequel looks good.. Jus my opinion of course, so doesn't make me right or wrong ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would be glad to see single-player story driven dlc for andromeda, and honestly i think we will see it... about as far as i can recall DLC has always been apart of EA/Bioware's MO, i don't really see that trend changing anytime soon. though i have heard a rumor or two that EA or at least the suits there of, had drastically over estimated sales projections for ME:A... as in, insane, no title in gaming history past, present or future would have hit those targets in their first month... ever. if this is the case, we might not see dlc because the executives at EA have no idea what realistic expectations in the gaming community actually are, and think that andromeda has vastly under preformed... but like i said rumors, i can't even remember where i heard them.

now, do i think andromeda was a bad game? hardly. i've spent over 700 hours playing it, and as far as i can tell i'm not a masochist... however, i don't think it was of the same caliber as the previous mass effect titles. i think it was rushed and pushed out the door far too soon to make room for that new ip. that's fairly common practice within the industry to tell the truth, and it's seems to have hit bioware in response to their acquisition by EA. i still think DLC could work here though, and i think it's actually needed.

I would very much like to see  EA or Bioware give us some news on Mass Effect Andromeda DLC for single player.

If EA or Bioware would put the word out that a single player DLC is coming then more players would buy Mass Effect Andromeda.

The Mass Effect games has a great following and we do read news of the game we enjoy.

All we see in the news is no DLC.  Come on man and give some good news.

I have Mass Effects 1, 2 and 3 with all DLC that I have so many hours playing them

Mass Effect Andromeda Super Deluxe Edition that cost me $99.00 and 255 hours playing single player.

So the question to EA & Bioware are we going to see a DLC for the Lost Ark and make this game even more better.

    Time is ticking.

DarkDoz - Yeh my game time so far is 306hrs and counting. Can't get enough tbh. That's without multi-player hrs I've put in! Be amazing if we did hear sumin soon, but I just don't see it yet. Hope I'm wrong tho, i will always have time for this series โ˜บ๏ธand some dlc/sequel for this Andromeda journey would make it even better than it already is.. It has sooo much potential

I've taken a break from the game and that's nothing unusual. It's not because I hate the game. I actually like it but it's a single player game and breaks are normal. The co-op doesn't hold my interest.

What would bring me back sooner rather than later to playing the game again is dlc. I'm happy to spend the money on it and reawaken my wish to play the game. Simple as that.
