    I use the standard Windows Defender. I hope this helps. I also tried to run the games on an older computer, while extremely laggy the games start and run normally.

    @Silsley

    I just saw a very similar problem on an other 2 core CPU, the MELE system requirements list 4 core 4 threads CPUs as minimum, your CPU has only 2 cores 2 threads so I can't say if there is a hardware limit causing this, even if ME3 runs.

    The error message in regards to ME1 is one that is often related to driver problems.

    Use a different audio output and if that don't works disable all audio devices in the device manager > Restart the PC > test.

    If that don't helps:

    • Follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components.
    • Install the graphics driver. > Go online.
    • Test.

    Lets try to force Windowed mode:
    (This guide describes ME1, but it works for ME2 as well, you just need to replace ME1 with ME2)

    • Go to your ">disk<\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame\Config" folder.
    • Copy the "GamerSettings.ini" and paste it to your Desktop so you have a backup.
    • Open the "GamerSettings.ini" in a text editor. (the Windows Editor for example.)
    • Set Fullscreen=False
    • Set BorderlessWindow=False
    • Set ResX=1600
    • Set ResY=900
    • Save the file!
      If there are no entries for "BorderlessWindow" or "Fullscreen"
    • Copy the lines below this line into the bottom of the "GamerSettings.ini" and Save!

      [SystemSettings]
      BorderlessWindow=False
      Fullscreen=False
      QualityBloom=False
      DynamicShadows=False
      UseVSync=False
      LightEnvironmentShadows=False
      MaxCharacterCinematicLightingPasses=3
      EnableLightEnvSHLights=False
      MotionBlur=False
      FilmGrain=False
      AntiAliasing=True
      ResX=1600
      ResY=900
      MouseSensitivity=75
      UseMouseDampening=True
      AmbientOcclusion=True
      MonitorIndex=0

    • Test the game.

    You can change the settings in game to what you desire if the game runs.

    @holger1405 Still nothing, I even tried to format my PC beforehand and nothing.

    I did find this in the config file

    [AppCompat]
    CompatLevelComposite=5
    CompatLevelCPU=5
    CompatLevelGPU=5

    Don't know if they do anything.

    Sorry about the trouble

    Yes, that are standard entries at the top of the GamerSettings.ini.

    You did added the entries I posted?

    @Silsley

    And you installed Windows 10 fresh?
    You used the drivers from your motherboard manufacturer and tried on a minimal Windrows installation, just the drivers Origin and the game?
