Re: mass effect legendary edition pc runs like dog crap.

Hey just wanted to say I found the underlying issues causing my problems. Two things: Steam and Origin Overlays caused the framerate issues. Second, there is a known bug that exists currently that messes up your mouse cursor and controls by launching the game with a controller plugged into your pc. I just so happened to have a HOTAS flight stick setup plugged in, which caused my problems.

Along the same lines as where I think this thread is going, I have a wireless controller plugged into my computer to steer my character (as I am disabled) as well as a mouse and keyboard.  So this is what I did. I started the game with my controller dongle unplugged, and plugged it in after the game had started, and testing it briefly, it seemed to have resolved the low frame rate issue. I'll test it again tomorrow, as it's time for bed.

  • @valsi461 Update: The game plays fine now. I just have to disconnect the controller dongle before playing, and reconnect it once the game starts.
  • EA needs to fix this.  Beyond inexcusable that a simple controller can cause fps issues like this.  I've filed a support ticket with EA Support & hope they get to fixing the fps issues on the PC version.  My specs are way beyond the minimum system requirements & I should not have to unplug my controller in order to get decent fps in-game...
