The EA App doesn't allow me to view, let alone change, my region. I only see the option to change Language.
However, for one reason or another, the problem just kinda...solved itself? I can now download the game, and I didn't do anything new since making my previous post.
Soooo, sorry OP, no idea how to fix this, it might just do it by itself!This worked for me. Should work for you too. Thanks for the tip! 😇
P.S.: it looks like you need to change the Region from Settings everytime, as it is not saving it as default.

In EA app > Click the three lines in the top left corner > Settings > Application > Select Region.
- @holger1405 it doesn´t even show the option for me to change region. I'm Brazilian, btw. Used a VPN, restarted the app, changed to UK, "select region" is now available, but it's still stuck.
- @holger1405 yup, still stuck. I have restarted the app, restarted the computer, cleared cache, used VPN, changed region, changed language, deleted and reinstalled EA app.... still stuck
You don't need a VPN. You need to "Change Region" from EA App -> Settings to "United Kingdom".
I've posted a screenshot in one of my previous posts. After I changed the region and restarted the app. It worked past the 14% install percentage and completed successfully.
If not, then most likely it's a different issue.
@RO-BUTCHERULwithout a VPN that option doesn't even show up to me. maybe the app is not fully supported in my country. I can only change the language :/
The button is not visible in my app either in USA. I think it's been gone for a few months.
After many attempts and uninstalling/reinstalling, text file extension changes, etc., these steps work for every game on my end.
1. Enter offline mode
2. When it says you have no internet connection, go online
3. in Settings>Application, chance language to one that is not your native/preferred
4. Let EA App refresh with new language
5. Change language back to preferred
6. Resume download
I don't know why, but it's working 'fine'.
I have this problem too with 14%. Im tryed standart doings, and doings that you wrote. Nothing. Today i am switch on my secondary internet - smartphone as modem - and game starting to verification and download. Its work! I dont know why secondary internet fix it - but it is. And its the second time in my life i fixing problem with starting download by that method. lol
