Re: ME1 Game crashing after Thorian fight

I've tried two different ways of loading up the game. Clicking 'resume' and 'start'.

Resume brings me to the ME1 title screen, wherein I click any button to get the game running. It brings me to a loading screen, the animation for the mass effect relay stops then the game crashes back to the launcher.

Start brings me to the same title screen, but this time it allows me to go to the main menu. I can either click 'resume' or 'load career' and both options bring me back to the loading screen where it crashes yet again. I thought Feros might have been bugged, but trying to load earlier saves crashes the game back to the launcher as well. I've attached my dxdiag to this post. Hopefully we can find a solution, I've never had problems like this with ME1 vanilla before.

    @newtn00t  Please uninstall and reinstall your 2015-2019 VC++ runtimes.  Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall the ones that are from 2015 or newer.  Don't touch the older ones.

    Next, open this location:

    [install path]\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist

    Run each .exe as an admin; this will reinstall the newest runtimes.  Restart your computer after you're done.

    If that doesn't help, open this location:

    [install path]\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame

    and move the Config folder to your desktop.  Then try to load a save.
