Re: ME2 Legendary crashes during the New Game Intro

@SimCJ  Please try repairing the game in both Steam and Origin, just to be thorough.  For Steam, right-click on the game tile and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files.  For Origin, right-click on the game tile and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, please set exceptions in your antivirus for MassEffect2.exe as well as MassEffectLauncher.exe and Origin.exe.  If you only use Windows Defender, add exceptions in your Controlled Folder Access settings.

If that doesn't help either, please let me know whether you can start a new ME3 save—I'm curious whether the issue is something about ME2 or more general.

If and when you get tired of troubleshooting, I could send you a new ME2 save.  But there's no guarantee you wouldn't run into the same problem later when trying to save or load the game.
