Re: Multiplayer credits gone
It usually happens with certain hosts. You can try to exit Mass Effect 3 and restart, sometimes the credits come back, but not always. That's the only workaround there is at the moment.

I already tried restarting game twice, and third time after reboot. I'll try tomorrow on other PC, but all hope left me already... :-(
If they didn't come back the first time you restarted, they won't come back. At elast it wasn't a Platinum game...
On the bright side, my main goal was to imporve assault rfile rating (M-8 specifically), and that imporvement wasn't lost.
BTW, I recall that some time ago some of my weapons were decreased (and some even lost), but I got some commendation packs back as "unopened". And after opening them I got different upgrades, but with roughly the same silver/gold/black amounts. Never checked it thoroughly.
While losing money while retaining ratings MAY be some glitch of system (say, false positive on changing data in sent network packets due to some network's fault), the downgrade of weapons and reappearance of commendation packs looks more like some database rollback. And THAT worries me. What if, for example, I got some really good weapon maxed to ten and used to love it, then for some unexplainable reason the base is rolled back, and instead of my beloved Mighty Something X I get something totally different? And what if that happens to lots of people? This will be quite a hit on game's popularity...
You're right, the weapons-reset was a rollback. It appears you were one of those who abused the infinite gift pack glitch in order to get the N7 promotional weapons (like the Hurricane, Valkyrie, Valiant, Crusader and Eagle) to level X and thus got your promotional weapons reset. That's why you got so many commendation packs, since the store gave you back all the packs you legitimately earned since Operation Bloodlust. So it was your own fault the weapons got rolled back as it only happened to those who opened a certain amount of glitched gift packs in a row. There has never been a rollback that wasn't due to someone abusing a glitch.
For more information about the rollback see here
Oh, thanks for the link! I was unable to find explanation at the time. Looks like I was a little bit greedy, and greedy pays twice.
Just curios: how many time it takes to get 2400 packs?!! It's insane! I was bored to death after only a dozen or two...
Anyway, this story glitch-packs ended fair: I still got (some) free stuff, as was planned by devs, even if not as much as less greedy. :-)
But with lost money - that still troubles me. I encountered that for the first time in God-knows-how-many games. Is there any statistics? Quick search on "lost credits" not found anything (that's why I started a new thread).
The 2400 packs guy was most likely someone with a macro-controller. Honestly can't believe someone would do this himself. This alone would be punishment enough (There were only max 50 promo-weapons to get anyway...).
I don't know of any statistic. Best way to avoid it is hosting yourself.
