I've not started a newgame+ yet. I get that certain things carry over and missions, avp and choices etc gets reset, i'm on my second playthrough with a biotic this time as my first play through was infiltrator.. definitely a different experience as a biotic but everything i've been reading so far seems to suggest that the architect bosses are extremely difficult on a biotic. I hope its possible to beat them as biotic as its fun so far.
I'll give new game+ a try at some point though. but i read a tip from someone that says reset your skill points on your completed character before you start a newgame+ . anyone done this?

since MEA has no level cap you don't have to play as a certain class that is the whole point of the profile system. switch to the right profile for the right job. i mostly switch between soldier and infiltrator. i just started my third run (2nd NG+) with the same char and still have all my skills levels and profiles just the way i like them. you also keep all your gear, research and resources.

Handy if you want to start the game again on insanity difficulty without running around with lv 1 weapons etc against 500 enemies.. all shooting at you across entire maps and through foilage.. so the only way you can shoot back is to wait for them to hit you then fire back along the line of their own shot..

thanks for the extra info, i need to look into this profile thing.. i tend to just run around and respec skills on the fly when really needed, i'll do my research on profiles and give it a go.
i might even just stall my 2nd run through and launch a newgame+ game to see how i go. cheers !
- Architect get much easier on lower difficulties when you use the biotic reflecting shield. I ran a normal new game and maxed all biotic and started using the shield some and it was extremely effective. I don't know how it will fair on Insanity NG+ that I carried it over too, but we will see.

If so, love those fights. Only had one give me any real trouble ...the one on Voeld, because even after you fix the planet the area you fight him is still a Hazard level 2 zone and you can't always be inside the safe building area to fully fight him. Other than this one, I had no issues with any of them. I just swapped thru my fav'd profiles during the fights for certains skills and they went down easy peasy

If you are playing mostly Biotic, there aren't a whole bunch of direct damage, long range abilities that work on him. You, can't lift, throw, Charge or Annihilation , and Lance or Singularity are only somewhat effective....you are also sometimes limited in what weapons you are dragging along depending on what level you are, and how much you have put into combat to increase it. So after all this, you end up facing a monster that laughs at most of what you can do, and may not have weapons to really face him with any speed....then you find and use the reflective shield(sorry I don't remember it's real name) and you can stand there and reflect damage back at him....even the annoying grenades he throws by bunches....and basically shoot him at leisure dodging only the massive area attacks. When the Remanent bots show up as filler, the Nullifiers bolts can be reflected back at them, as well as observers and basically anything that doesn't Melee. So all in all, this whole battle becomes MUCH easier for a Biotic once the reflective shield is maxed and used. NO you don't NEED it, but it makes it easier.....well at least on Normal difficulty it does...will find out how well it does in Insanity in a bit more time.

Architect - I find grenade launchers, plasma snipers.. esp the ones with like 42 rounds.. that's twice what my grenade AR has.. Although I've thought about adding in the grenade upgrade+stickys to the Kett Mini Gun.. one day I'll see if that can even get made.
That Kett Mini Gun is amazing as well.. just sprint left/right when it fires at you.. or jump/leap left/right etc.
The main problem I have on HC (haven't tried Insanity yet) is when it takes off.. it kinda heals alot.. and when it lands you usually have an additional leg to shoot out and a third more health in its head.
I like the fight on Eos.. was a surprise that. The Voeld One I hate, it's annoying freezing all the time. And the one in the dunes is fun too. Elderaan or whatever.
Gonna see if I can get a Rank X Mini gun, add the seeking plasma to it. Then try insanity run from start. On New+. Fighting them at lv 12.. isn't fun, esp freezing to death on top.

well tbh, I do love my biotics but when fighting an architect I don't use one of my fav'd profiles only because it's purely biotic and I know this profile is best used in other situations. There's no reason for me to charge, nova into a shockwave on an Architect. It's just not that kind of fight. My other profiles are set up with Tech and Combat moreso, though Biotics do factor into two other profiles. I tended to sniper more than use skills ...my skills were more used on the spawn phases than the Architect itself. I may have made the fights go longer but meh, I didn't die on any but the Voeld one due to the environment issue I stated earlier.

One last thing with Architect.. don't forget to interface with it after it dies, run to it's head and use.. you get some decent loot.
First few times I just watched it fly off and didn't even know it dropped loot.

So you ignored the comp who told you to "Quickly! interface with it."? luls
