I believe that you need to install Geforce Experience to have Ansel available.  Ansel is a 3rd party app, and not actually part of MEA.  If Ansel is running, when you start MEA, you should see a brief overlay in the top right corner of your screen that says: "hit Alt+Z to record your gameplay".  In game, when you hit Alt+Z, you will get an overlay that will allow you to take screen shots or videos of you game.

I don't have GeforceExperience installed (I'm not creating yet another account just for automatic driver updates, thank you) and I can call up the Ansel UI in ME:A 🤔

I just wish it allowed me to take shots of cutscenes... but no, I can only bring it up if I have control of my character, like roaming and fights...

there's an alternate screen capture mode if using the nvidia setup, if you want to capture shots of scenes in play hit alt+f1 (think that's the default setting, moved it to print screen for easier use), though not sure if it will work if your not set up for screenshots.

I would give the geforce experience a try. When I can't get a new game running correctly, it can be used to adjust your game settings. Really works with modded games.
