Same here, Did the mission twice and achievement did not unlock
@mrp25
According to this post this was kept intentionally from the original game. Liara and Kaidan/Ashley do not count for the Paramour achievement in ME2.But Liara definitely should count in ME2. The fact that it didn't work that way in the original is hardly an excuse, they could have changed that in this rerelease. With the integration of DLC, it seems completely arbitrary to have some romances count and not others.
- @mrp25 you need to romance somone alse if you rekindle it does not count as romance, romance miranda and if you dont want it after you get your paramour 2 just edit the save with the save editor and change her status from romanced to friend.
- @kangaxxthelich it think it was done like that for a reason, hear me out, me 2 its like the start of a new life for shepard re-build by cerberus and it gives you the chance to remain loyal to the one you romanced in ME 1 until ME 3, if you think about it you can't romance anyone from me 1 in me 2 like kaidan/ashley/Liara about Tali i am not sure. With this in mind on many of my old playthroughs of the original trilogy i did not romance anyone in me 2 the only times i did it was for the achievement if they were no achievements i would heave not romanced anyone in me 2 at all.
I just played through ME2 on insanity. The achievement didn't pop. Doesn't anyone know why or how to fix it? I'm going to replay the final mission again to see if it'll work tonight. I hate the idea of replaying ME2 on insanity again because of it. Do we know if it was because I switched the difficulty during the Normandy attack in the beginning and not have it set in the very start?
- draconiam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@DarkWarSoldier That might be it although you can only set Insanity at the very start when the ship.is being attacked, the same issue with ME3. You have to double check when you get control of Shepard that the difficulty isn't in Casual and is on Insanity as that likes to switch from you are starting a new career to when the game starts.
@draconiam
In all three games, you can set the game to Insanity from the main menu's settings, and then you set it again when launching your new career. I've never had any problems this way.Making sure that your game launched on your desired difficulty never hurts of course, that's exactly how I know that I've never encountered this issue.
Edit: Then again, the achievement still did not pop at the end of ME2, so... Nobody knows where the real issue lies. The fix they released only made sure that you cannot cheese the achievements by redoing the Saren fight, but did not actually solve the bug.
- draconiam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@felker_s That's what the Bioware patches are for, to make sure you can't play the game like you want because their way is broken.
@felker_sI would be so mad if that's why it didn't work. I just changed the difficulty from hard-core to insanity as soon as I got control of Shepard. I did the same thing in ME1 and worked. So I was thinking it worked the same way in ME2. I would hate to replay it again because of something like that.
