    Do you use any mods?

Try to repair the game. (in Origin > Game Library > right click MEA > Repair. This will purge any mods you might use.)

  • Hey,

I have mods, but for Skyrim, not for ME3. My mods are linked through Nexus Mod Manager. I will try to repair via Origin again, which only links to validating files through Steam, which I have been doing everytime I reinstall ME3. I will get back to you once I try again.

  • I have finished repairing the game via Origin. I have also disabled both cloud save and in-game origin display. However, I still am unable to get the game to start. I either launch via Origin, which amounts to just refreshing the page (back to main origin page), or I launch via Steam, which then brings up Origin for 2 pop ups, then closes. I even went to check the task manager when launching the game to see if it even pops up, but only steam and origin, which then closes. I have noticed sometimes when I launch via Steam it will give me options to:

*Play Mass Effect 3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition (or)

    *Launch Configuration Tool

I have also noticed that when tried redownloading Origin from launching game from Steam, it would say

    *OriginThinSetup.exe

(Which I assumed was the Origin program that launches from it.)

So unless I'm mistaken that this is the incorrect Origin app, I have Origin installed correctly, which has my Steam copy of ME3 N7 edition, because it also shows my copy of ME2 deluxe edition after I purchased both from Steam and basically activated their product keys. I will keep hope that I can find answers to fix this problem, but I'm curious as to why nothing is working. Please continue to share any additional solutions.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by that, could you elaborate?

  • Sure,

Before I posted on this forum, I tried reinstalling ME3 and Origin myself, trying to see if I could find the solution. When I reinstalled ME3 (Before Origin), I would notice (Especially when I first played ME3), it would say after launching from Steam:

    Performing First Time Set Up

    Then it would say:

    OriginThinsetup (step 1 of 1)

Then it would proceed to install Origin and would load from there, and before when I could actually play the game, it would pop up Origin a couple times, then launch ME3. So after this Windows10 update, it stopped working all together.
