Sorry, but Bioware said it wasn't anything to do with indoctrination......so your post is entirely incorrect.
I am just going by Biioware saying that all our choices will make a difference and noticeable difference at the end.....and. it. didn't.
That is what makes the ending suck.
I didn't say Shepard was indoctrinated. I said the it used its powers to pull an image from his memory and display it before him. Only Shepard met the child in the intro and only Shepard saw his death so other than an indoctrination like ability you tell me how else the image was pulled from his memory. Even if I am slightly off in my interpretation, which all things boil down to in situations like that, the trilogy had good endings and with the extended cut and Citadel content a fulfilling ones. I feel bad for you, really bad, that you couldn't enjoy the endings. So even if the paragon and renegade choices only made differences during gameplay that is fine and even understandable. Understandable from a development standpoint. How many endings could you reasonably expect beyond the several they made. At some point you have to cut things off. So you could have made the choice to only pick the ending that you were leaning towards on that play through or they could have locked you out of an ending that you didn't have the proper moral stance to choose. So what really sucks is when people like you who don't get their way 100% dump all over other peoples great art and story instead of taking it in and appreciating it.
