Re: (Spoilers) - New enemy faction hinted at?

Whilst I have no issues with Cerberus funding the Andromeda Initiative or that the Benefactor is part of Cerberus or the original shadow brokers associate or terra firma(unlikey as these guys are the real racist compared to cerberus).  I dont think The Benefactor is the Illusive Man, or the Shadow Broker as I think he/she is very much in andromeda, giving orders behind the scene, I dont think it's Tann(although it seems he benefited from it), he's just a pawn.  The MO of the benefactor would be similar to Reyes but on a much larger scale.  So far we have been thinking along the lines of humanity, perhaps because of Jien Garsen, but couldn't the Benefactor be an Asari Matriarch(In the words of Liara's father they are certainly adept in espionage and sabotage).  Or someone from the Salarian Union some STG head?

All speculative of course.

I would love to see the Benefactor being not a human. If he/she would be a human it would be too similar to TIM (I doubt TIM or Cerberus are involved in the Benefactor thingy).

Also the Illusive Man was a racist who always put humanity first, why would he spend billions to embark all other species? Though I guess Cora is there so there must something about him coming. I don't know, I guess we'll see.

Yeah. I expect that there is a troup of Cerberus agents somewhere working in the dark, but I doubt they are behind all of that.

Everyone keeps assuming tim is a racist/whatever-ist... that may or may not be the case. I haven't seen anything that points directly to that.

Though, he is obsessed with speeding human progress, and spreading influence at any cost. Though, that alone only proves he's a bit of a sociopath.

Now, if tim did fund the initiative, that doesn't mean he made the trip, someone could have taken his place for instance.

And honestly nothing should be ruled out at this point.

    Did you play ME3?

    The Illusive Man is dead.

He was on the Citadel years after the Hyperion launched and he died there.

Unless we go back to the clone thing. Seems unlikely. That would shatter the story.

Cloning ruins stories just like time travel makes everything possible while simultaneously making everything impossible. Everyone is alive at some point in time so killing a person any time is pointless.

    Case in point...Legends of Tomorrow.

Break something into three pieces and hide them in three different time periods...well duh...they're all in the latest time period.

Cloning has the same effect on stories. I hate it. It's lazy and a lack of imagination.

I just said he doesn't have to be there... what the he'll are you talking about. Are you just doing that intentionally?

Actually read what you're replying to before posting.

I read it. Still makes no sense.

The one thing that means he didn't make the trip is that he didn't exist.

    JFK wasn't there either. lol

    "Nothing should be ruled out..."

Wrong. TIM making the trip can be ruled out.

This is not meant to be personal.

Just saying that if he made the trip, the franchise is dead to me.

I said it was possible for tim to be the benefactor, and someone else assumed the role of benefactor and joined the nexus crew using cerberus contacts and influence.

But can be fun. Alternatively, TIM has a .... TWIN!
