I also got "forward to the expert team" from my first advisor - never heard from them. Strangely another live chat advisor I spoke to afterwards could just simply issue a new Online Pass, so it's purely a matter of luck if you're getting helped or not. I'd just try again with the live chat until you get someone who issues a new pass.
I chatted with 4 advisors, though only since the 3rd one I insisted on new Online pass. I'm not sure whether that happened or not since I still have the exact same Product Code, but after the last Multi worked properly again. Unfortunately now From Ashes does not. I'm not in a hurry though anymore since, contrary to Multi, there is no events schedule and I can wait for the problem to be resolved. Nevertheless, despite the fact I sent them info about solution only working partially, I haven't been contacted since. I'm kinda busy at the moment anyways so I'll give them some more time.

You could also try the EA support via Twitter here
It appears, they are quite helpful and quick with a solution to your problem. It's best you give them your case number and that now From Ashes doesn't work anymore. They can also help with the Online Pass Issue as well.
[edit]Can confirm that the Twitter support is very helfpul and lightning fast when you contact them during their work hours (Mo-Fr, 9AM - 6PM CST). I contacted them because of my Online Pass authorization error and they fixed it within minutes. It appears, there is an Online Pass for the Standard Edition (which they first gave me through Live Chat and was responsible for the DLC error) and a different one for the Collector's Edition. They then issued me the one for the CE (that I own) but then I got the same error for "From Ashes" as kojotp. I replied to them via Twitter again and within 5min it got all sorted out and working again. So, if you're tired of the Live Chat, give the Twitter support a try!

This is cool and all but there is one slight problem - I don't have Twitter nor Facebook account. And I don't want to. I wouldn't even have Origin if I didn't buy ME2, DA:O and Warhammer Online earlier that basically transformed my accounts in BioWare and Mythic into Origin account. I'm not in a hurry as I mentioned - Single Player can wait, Multi could not.

I can fully understand not wanting to make a Facebook / Twitter-account to get in contact with a company. Since I already am on Twitter I just tried it out, maybe others who have the problem can try this as well as an alternative to the webpage.

I'm not diminishing validity of Your proposed solution. You've been very helpful and Your suggestion got me at least the Multi unblocked. It's kind of annoying though since nothing happened since the escalation (I had brief chat with another consultant that promised to remind of me to that other guys and mention I came by again but that was my initiative not theirs) and I'm still waiting for permanent and full solution. I guess the only way is to pester them non-stop, otherwise they just forget about you.

Hi kojotp,
Can you please open a new thread for your issue with the From Ashes DLC? Perhaps other players had a similar issue, but they will not "see" you as the thread still says "redeem/purchase online pass" in the title.
Btw. if you don't hear back from our Game Advisors within this week, send me a PM.

I would but the From Ashes issue is aftermath of solution applied by EA team to fix the redeem/purchase online pass. I checked "My games/Your registered game content" on BSN and as I mentioned earlier I now have two online passess. Apparently one of the Advisors fixed my problem by adding the second. The only problem is that this is a pass for regular game and my copy is N7 Digital Deluxe/pre-ordered which also allowed for this particular DLC to authorise. My guess is that I'm able to play Multi thanks to that regular pass but it kinda messess with this one DLC. I also think that this particular problem might be reproduced for other recipients of the original problem followed by not 100% complete fix. Change of the topic name would help but I'm not sure if it is possible.

Edit: As of now I still have two online passes - but now one is regular and the other somehow became Collector's Edition, both are wrong for the game I own which is N7 Digital Deluxe Edition, thankfully regular at least allows me to access Multi. I appreciate efforts but I would love the problem finally fixed, properly.
