research cap?

Is there a cap to the amount of researtch you can have? Right now there isn't anything I want to research and my heleus research is sitting at 1000. Is there a cap? Don't really want to lose any. ...

    No, there shouldn't be. I'm at almost 6000 Milky Way in the NG+ I just started.

Yes. You keep your entire inventory, credits, level, skills, research points which you can also basically regain from scratch so you're gonna end up with a crapload of it. I think the only thing that completely resets is AVP for obvious plot reasons.

Ah so you lose those nice perks like increased inventory size then, bummer.

    But while you can get milky way research points from the perks on a regular base, artefact research points are rather difficult to aquire.
