Yup and ironically SAMs a little * after the patch(I dont remember this happening before the patch). Typically after I finish a mission I will check my emails. Then go talk to the crew. After making my rounds and returning to the Bridge SAM will announce that "there is new email pathfinder." When I check, nope... no emails. already read.... and the damn AI in my head should know that!!!!!!

This is the Yeoman's Syndrome, don't you know? Remember Kelly Chambers back in ME2? After we read our e-mails, she would often say, "Commander, you have an unread e-mail in your private terminal."

Yeah, which means the script that fires that bark doesn't have an associated sanity check. Check to see if the messages that should be there are there and unread before issuing the notification.

Just another day down the check-list lane.
There are too many issues around similar things in MEA. Lotsa work to do.

LOL yes I remembered that.. vaguely... Somehow I dont remember being as irritated with that compared to this... Perhaps it's just SAM... annoying boring voice in my head... I though kaidan was boring, SAM is making Kaidan look like a rock star!!

It's probably because SAM often reminds us of everything, not only that. That's why you get irritated by him, due cumulative stress.

Even more annoying that he speaks when another crew mate is talking, missed quite a few interesting banter thanks to his generic alerts that doesnt add any value.

You can know an email is there without reading it. With their tech, that should be pretty simple.

But Miss Chambers was very slippery. If that terminal was private, how the heck was she supposed to know I got e-mails there? Hmm.
As for the tech, I would assumed that some information should never go through open channels. However, linking to our open e-mail terminal is not safe either. ^_^

With their tech, it should all be accessible on the omnitool, instead of having to use a fixed terminal. This is not the 1960s. Timesharing processor time on a mainframe with access on a dumb terminal is no longer a Thing.

Agreed! Just watched a programme on youtube by a renowned scientist Michio Kaku was saying that within the next decade or two, we can even communicate with computers just by thought, they are currently working on it. Computers will be there but not there, like electricity, all hidden from sight but its there. And here we walk around the nexus and see turians and salarians without chairs standing there hunched over typing on their keyboards with their 3 fingers lol...
