Shadow Broker DLC, HUD only.

Hagalaz - broker ship exterior

So the auto save loads me into a death scene.

Restart Mission lets me choose a squad member, load out. Then it Will show the HUD, but everything else is black. You can fire the weapon, hear the shots, see the ammo could going down, but everything is black.

I also suffered from the black screen issue in the car crash, dropping it to min video size at turning all the video settings off got me passed that one.

Here is a list of things I've tried so far

Removed all the saved games to another folder

loaded into previous boss fight.

drop video settings all the way down and screen res

turned sound off.

reloaded the DLC

downloaded fresh copy of the DLC and reloaded.

Tried running Mass effect in compat mode: Win 7 and run as admin.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz

RAM: 16 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti

Driver: 373.06 WHQL (latest)

Sound: Headset Earphone (HyperX 7.1 Audio)

Driver:6.2.14393.0

OS:Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

DirectX: 12

    transferred the game to an old machine. This time I got to see the cutscene and it continued fine. Saved it, then transferred the save game to my machine and it loaded ok. Guess it will break again when the next scene unfolds.

    Sorry to hear you have a problem there. This issue, you have is a rare one.

    Thank you for such a detailed report. Let me see, what else we can do to help you.  Are you video card drivers up to date? Have you  tried to repair game in Origin? Have you tried to force a an autosave after you restarted the mission and then reload?

    Hi Archi,

    Yes I have run a repair and there is no difference.

    I tried a manual save and then loaded that saved game again, it loads straight into the same death scene.

    I had the same problem when trying to get onto the citadel. removed the "-nomoviestartup" from the shortcut and it fixed the issue. I didn't go back to see if this would resolve the problem with Shadowbroker DLC though.
