Still no quick save?

The patch notes are fine overall... I still don't get how the game could even be released like this in the first place, but that's a different matter.

One question though: Why no quick save!? That's among the things I simply can't wrap my head around. Combat has already devolved to just a minor hurtle on the way to story in most RPGs, so why make poorly placed auto save points the only real penalty for dying? It can't be console related, all other ME games had quick save, as had all DA games...

  • Just jog away from the front line (away from enemies),

    change your loadout or favorite,

    or wait 2-3 minutes.

And the game 'should' force and auto-save (unless other processes are running) for 'real-life' interruptions that are not instant emergencies.

  • Adding a quick save/quick load key is one of my top requests  I understand that certain priority quests have no save options at  all (outside of auto saves), and I can live with that, as even ME1 had these sections with no save options.  But to go through 2 (or 3?) menus just to save my game each seems somewhat antiquated.  I don't really want all those saves I have, but 1 or 2 quick save slots that can be over written would really just smooth out the game play for those of us who like to save before important encounters or conversations.
