I agree with this to a point. It kinda screwed me up for a bit on when I was wearing mine on the mission (before I found the option to put it on or keep it off in the settings), and in the cutscenes it keep taking it off. Like I thought it was a bug, and the game wasn't rendering it.
Then it went really screwy during the one part when you're walking around in a vacuum, but no one has their helmet on but you get the sound like it should be on. It would be nice if the game itself had the ability to pick when you will or won't have your helmet on based on the environment.
Without setting it to only keep it on or keep it off. The cutscenes are immersion breaking to the max
