XP progression is way too slow. If classes worked the same as ME3 and all characters of that class leveled up at the same time this slower progression would be fine. Since they don't and you have to level each character independently even a person like me that wants to play all the time, it takes too long to level up a character above 12. (Add the connection issues here causing the loss of XP to make it worse.)
Combo explosions are almost not worth it. If I cannot kill the lowest level units that are damaged with one explosion what good are they?
Ascendants sync kills are too hard to disrupt. Having to break an orb to stop the kill is just not reliably possible with lower level characters in Bronze. It does not change much for high level characters in silver or gold.
Lastly the guns just do not feel different. Charger and Scorpion are the only pistols that has any noticable TTK difference and a grenade launcher should feel different.
