Timed quests (minor spoiler)
I've always had this love/hate relationship with any timed quests. On one hand, they can add that sense of urgency to complete them, on the other hand, if they are not programed well they can add immense frustration. So far I've only run into one of these in MEA, and that was on Eos. It was a task or Eos quest to go after some researchers at a Remnant site.
But I ran into a quest in the past couple days called Contagion, that had me track down a woman who had a deadly virus and released from Cryo. The virus had 3 stages, and she was in the first stage, but at stage 3 it would be highly contagious, potentially wiping out 90% or more of a population. A settlement killer, possibly a world killer. It was my job to track her down before the virus could spread. This is one of those quests that could have felt more urgent, more suspenseful, had it actually been a timed quest. A certain amount of time before it hit stage 2, then another timer before it hit stage 3. Failure could be catastrophic. As it was, I just tracked her as I got the time and was in the right area. I just felt that it could have been developed further to increase the suspense.
