Hey 🙂 It was PC, I had mods on, repaired the game, removed the mods after and repaired the game again but nothing worked. Later on today I got in touch with EA helpdesk chat and they sent the following instructions:Please refer these steps and clear origin cache files. Please log out from origin and Delete the following folders: All the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent - Found in C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent All files and folders found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Origin All files and folders found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Origin2 - Refer this link and run a cleaner. https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/.3 - Refer this link and reset your internet settings. https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/9237374 - Please check Antivirus/Firewall Conflicts with Origin https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-can-my-anti-virus-software-interfere-with-a-game-installation/5 - refer this link and reset your host files. https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/972034I did all the steps (googled the internet reset as the link did not work for me) except for the antivirus/firewall part. I am not sure where the issue was originally but in the end the above steps fixed the problem. When I reloaded the old save game before the gravity well it worked without issue. When I reloaded the save game after the gravity well issue when I was set back to the slums after the eternal fall, the sky was still black and the environment bright, however when I went back to the vault and completed the quest, came out and everything was perfect in the game 🙂Hope that this will help others as well 🙂

@markcurwen7 Try to repair the game. (in Origin > Game Library > right click MEA > Repair)

This keeps happening to me. I have tried to repair, but nothing is working. I can't finish the quest, or create the outpost since i can't finish the vault. or even start it. Is there an actual fix for this yet? Or do I just not get to finish the game???

@szamagni You have the exact same problem, free fall inside the gravity well? Have you tried another save game, one from before your current one?

Just picked this game up on sale, same issue. None of the fixes mentioned have worked for me. Good thing I didn't pay full price, but this sucks.

The method that worked for me was to go into the game via Origin rather than through Frosty modmanager. Reached the bottom of the well with no issue, then saved the game, exited, and started the game via the modmanager and continue to play as normal.

I got this fix from another post by jtazako so credit to them.

This happened to me too but only when I loaded the game with mods from Frosty mod manager. The specific mod that was causing the problem is called Increased Player Stats. Just uncheck it from your mod list, launch the game from Frosty, go through the gravity well, close the game, recheck the mod, then launch the game again. It will keep everything, including mods, to work smoothly from then on. If you don't have Increased Player Stats modded in then maybe it could be from another mod that tweaks your health and shield.

So this is still a problem.. But I think I found a solution... At least it worked for me.... When you get to the vault, save your game... Then DISABLE your Mods BEFORE Entering the Vault... Save your game.. Reload the last save... Allow the game to run through the Gravity Well cycle until you reach the Remnant Console. Save the game... Restart with your Mods enabled... This allowed me to clear the vault. When I returned to the surface... Sky was normal again...
