Unrecognized Disc Error on XBOX

I am an avid fan of the ME series but have thrown in the towel due to an apparent error on Disc 2 of ME3 that has been reported by several other ME game players across internet forums; but have received no help or solutions.
I finsihed Disc 1 of ME3 with no problems. Once I inserted Disc 2 into my console, I received an "Unreconized Disc" error. After such, I could neither load Disc 1 or 2, nor install the game. Both discs are clean and scrath-free. My Xbox optic drive has been recently cleaned, and ALL other games that I own run fine on my system.
Except ME3. No matter what I've tried (unplugging all external components, restarting, attempting to update the game, etc), the only screen I see when I load in Disc 1 or 2 of ME3 is Unrecognized Disc. Though, when looking at my Xbox homescreen, the system recognizes the game as ME3; it just can't play it.
I even exchanged my discs for a new game, to no avail.
Please provide some guidance. I have never experienced such a ludicris and game-stopping error.

Thanks for the reply but I realized after I posted this that your original reply was for the XBox 360. I also discovered that on the XBox One the second disc is not required because it is included in the download. I just needed to wait a couple of minutes for it to load when the second disc message appears.
